Data collected

This site is fully static. It has no forms, no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts. Nothing is collected by the site itself.

Three caveats, for accuracy:

• Host technical logs. Vercel records standard technical data on each visit — IP address, browser type, date and time of the request — for security and service stability. This data is not passed on to me and is not used for tracking.
• Browser local storage. The site uses your browser’s sessionStorage for one thing only: remembering your reading position when you switch language. It is not a cookie, nothing is sent over the network, and the data disappears when you close the tab.
• Sending an email. Contact happens through a direct email link. If you write to me, you are of course sending me whatever your message contains — I then process it as the controller.

Retention

Technical logs are retained by Vercel under its own policy, for security purposes, then deleted.

Emails you send me are kept for as long as the exchange requires, then for the duration of the working relationship if there is one. Records relating to invoicing are kept for ten years, under the legal obligation to retain accounting documents (art. 958f Swiss Code of Obligations).

Processing abroad

As the host is established in the United States, the technical data described above is processed there. This constitutes a transfer of personal data outside Switzerland within the meaning of the Swiss Data Protection Act. The terms of that processing are governed by Vercel’s privacy policy ↗.
