Website design in Lausanne

Your site is usually the first impression people get of you — sometimes the only one. I design it before drawing it: page architecture and visitor journey first, visual design next, code by hand.

01 Sites

Your website

What I design is what gets delivered. A focused page, a complete showcase, or a structured site — a shared foundation, options à la carte.

My method

It all starts with a design phase.

We map the architecture of your pages and the path your visitors take before drawing anything — so each person finds what they’re looking for and lands where you want to lead them. That invisible work is what sets your site apart from a template bought without a strategy.

Included in every site

Contact block (clickable details) · technical SEO (title, meta, OG, sitemap) · performance optimisation · accessibility: contrast, keyboard navigation, alternative text (WCAG AA) · going live (hosting + domain) · legal notice + cookie banner · 2 revision rounds · 30-day corrective warranty

Pricing

A number should never stop you

I publish my prices because I think it’s only fair to know where you’re heading before writing to me. They’re markers, not barriers: every project has its own scope, and the scope is what makes the amount. If the project speaks to you and a figure is holding you back, write to me anyway — we’ll look together at what is truly needed, and what can wait.

Category shift

We leave the showcase site for the custom application: accounts, data, business logic.

02 Applications

Your application

A tier of its own. Three ranges to place you — the real price is built up: an application foundation, the modules you need, quoted individually.

Three ranges to place you

These three figures place you, they don’t price you: the real amount is built up — an application foundation, then the modules you actually need. Two apps in the same range can cost very different amounts.

03 À la carte

Options that stack

What’s added case by case, according to your needs. Quoted individually — no imposed package.

04 Questions

Before writing to me

Three families of questions, the ones that come up at every first meeting. The rest is settled in ten minutes of conversation.

Timing & method (3)

How long does it take, and what do you need from me?

Count on four to eight weeks for a website, longer for an application or a broad scope — the exact timeframe is given in your quote. It starts when I receive the deposit and all of your content — copy, images, access — not when you sign: that is the one variable that genuinely depends on you. You get the list of what I need right at the start, so nothing comes as a surprise halfway through.

How many rounds of revisions are included?

Two: one on the design, before a single line is coded, and one at acceptance testing, before going live. It is written into the quote. Two well-placed rounds beat ten badly-placed ones — and if a third is genuinely needed, we talk about it rather than pretend.

You work with AI — what does that change for me?

It changes the speed, not the responsibility. AI is a manufacturing tool: it speeds up the code, it never decides your architecture, your copy or your image in my place. Every line delivered is reviewed and owned by me. This site is the proof — its making-of tells you exactly how it was built, and where I took back the reins.

Budget (4)

Why does a website cost this much with you, when others sell them for a few hundred francs?

Because it isn’t the same object. For a few hundred francs you buy a ready-made template with the text and logo swapped out — that exists, it can do the job, and it isn’t what I make. Here, the architecture of your pages and the journey of your visitors are designed for your business, the site is hand-coded, and it belongs to you entirely. The price markers are shown higher up this page: the scope makes the amount, never the other way round.

Are your prices VAT included?

There is no VAT to add: I am not liable for it. The price shown is the price you pay, and the quoted amount is the invoiced amount. No percentage appears at the end of the journey.

What is included, and what costs extra?

Every offer lists its deliverables line by line, higher up this page. Everything else lives in the options — priced on request, never imposed: multilingual, booking, online payment, a content editor, branding.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes — it is in fact the rule: payment is made in stages, following the schedule set out in your quote. A deposit on order, which is what triggers the start (no work begins before it), one or more payments at validated milestones, then the balance on delivery, before the source files are handed over. Invoices are payable within 30 days.

After delivery (4)

Will I be able to edit the site myself?

By default no, and that is a deliberate choice. Your site is generated as static pages: nothing to update every month, nothing that breaks, no security holes to watch. If you want control over your content, it is an à la carte option — I set up an editing space, light or extended, with its maintenance. Otherwise you write to me and I take care of it.

Does the site really belong to me? And if we stop working together?

The domain name and hosting are opened in your name, on your account, with your payment method. I deploy into them. So you never depend on me to stay online: once the project is delivered and paid in full, there is nothing to retrieve from me, nothing to buy back, nothing to negotiate. If you would rather I handled hosting, that is possible — but it is an option, never the default setting.

What happens once the site is live?

You leave with a working site and a written handover. If a defect appears in what I delivered, it is covered by the warranty set out in the quote: it is not a service to buy again. Anything that counts as evolution — new pages, new features, ongoing follow-up — is an option, per item or as a monthly retainer, whichever suits you.

What costs remain every year?

The domain name and the hosting — which you pay directly to your provider, since the accounts are in your name. I take no margin on them. For a website, nothing else is compulsory: maintenance and evolutions are options, not a subscription that runs on its own. An application does not work that way — it has a database and accounts to protect, and its maintenance is part of the object; that is stated on its card. And if you would rather I handled the hosting, it becomes an identified recurring line in the quote, never a surprise on an invoice.

Ask yours

I work from Renens, in the western Lausanne area, with clients in Lausanne, Renens, Ecublens, Crissier, Prilly and Chavannes-près-Renens, as well as across the canton of Vaud and French-speaking Switzerland. We can meet at your place, in a Lausanne café, or on a call if that is simpler.

The combo

And once the site is live?

A site attracts and reassures; social keeps the link alive and brings people in. Most independents hire one provider for the first and another for the second, then watch their identity drift apart. Here it is one hand.
